Lawyer Elba Marcovecchio came out to clarify the situation, indicating that Mauro Icardi chose a less risky route in traffic to head to a side street and thus avoid Avenida del Libertador. She also mentioned that they will resolve the entire incident through the Justice system, presenting the videos as conclusive evidence.
On her part, the widow of Jorge Lanata dismissed rumors about Mauro's state of mind during the incident. According to Marcovecchio, upon arriving at the location, she found Icardi calm in the lobby, waiting for his daughters to come out. The lawyer emphasized that Mauro was at ease despite the presence of journalists. Regarding the resignation of his lawyers, the attorney confirmed that she continues to represent the footballer and is still working on the case.
Regarding the incident, Marcovecchio acknowledged that it was not the best maneuver by Icardi but assured that the situation was properly recorded on video and that they will present all evidence before the judicial system. Despite the controversy raised, the lawyer declared that they will not be offering interviews at this time.
