At the beginning of the peaceful protest between demonstrators and police, clashes erupted. The tension escalated as the protesters threw stones and other objects at the police in response to which law enforcement officials used rubber bullets, water cannons, and tear gas.

According to reports from the France Press agency, at least 20 people were injured, one of them in serious condition, as a result of violent clashes between police and protesters in Buenos Aires. Protesters took to the streets alongside pension rights defenders, to which numerous football fans joined.

"This is one of the most violent clashes in the 15 months of Javier Milei's presidency."
