In Barrio 21-24, five armed offenders have been arrested in connection with the robbery and serious bodily injuries inflicted on two pensioners in the vicinity of Parque Patricios in Buenos Aires. Three of them have criminal records for robbery and serious bodily injuries. The offenders broke into a house on Atuel Street, stole a phone, cash, and other valuables, after which they caught up with the homeowners - a 89-year-old woman and her 93-year-old husband, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A criminal case has been initiated against them for kidnapping and illegal deprivation of liberty.
The prosecution authorities have been involved in the case. After a call to 911, the police began operational measures in the area. An arrest occurred during an attempt to escape in a black Volkswagen Gol with five passengers. After the arrest, a trunk was discovered in the car containing more than a million dollars in cash, seven mobile phones, jewelry items, burglary tools, cartridges, a Eibar España caliber 7.65 pistol with seven cartridges in the magazine, and five cartridges of caliber 32.
Checking the arrested individuals, four Argentinians and one Paraguayan were found, of which three have multiple convictions for robbery, firearms offenses, and serious bodily injuries. Among the confiscated items was also an ID card in the name of the woman who was victimized, confirming their involvement in the incident. The case is led by the National Criminal Court No. 9, which sanctioned the arrest of the suspects.
