Murder Investigation Takes Place in Buenos Aires

A 28-year-old woman was found murdered in her home in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta. The victim, identified as Magalí Jael Levy, lived there with her husband, both belonging to the Jewish community. Upon inspecting the scene, the police noted that the house was messy and several items were missing, suggesting a robbery.

Authorities determined that before the crime, a woman dressed as a domestic worker had entered the residence. The homicide occurred on Friday afternoon in a building on Sánchez de Bustamente Street, number 1200. After receiving an alert to 911, the police arrived at the scene and discovered Magalí bound and with a bag over her head.

During the investigation, officers identified the presumed domestic worker and a man as the main suspects. Security cameras captured both individuals leaving the building after the crime. The city's Security Minister, Horacio Giménez, is involved in the case and is collaborating with the investigation team to capture those responsible.

Rabbi Eliahu Hamra of AMIA spoke out about the homicide, demanding a swift resolution and punishment for those guilty, describing the crime as an atrocity. Lastly, Prosecutor Edgardo Orfila classified the case as homicide and continues his work in the National Prosecutor's Office on Criminal and Correctional Affairs No. 50.
