The City Police managed to recapture Matías Ferrari today, one of the prisoners who escaped from Alcaidía 6 A in Caballito on February 9. After receiving a report, the personnel from the local Neighborhood Police Station 3 B located Ferrari in the neighborhood of Parque Patricios. With this detention, four of the six escapees have been recovered.
Among those recaptured are Kevin Alexander Aguilar Zalazar, Brian Ezequiel Benavidez, Axel Eduardo Ríos, and Matías Ferrari. Two inmates remain at large, identified as Adrián Emanuel Martín and Eduardo Ajalla Cabrera. All these prisoners were under preventive detention and should not have been in Alcaidía 6 A, but in a prison of the Federal Penitentiary Service.
The escape of the inmates occurred in Annex A of Alcaidía 6, where the service chief was found tied up and the theft of his mobile phone was reported. The recapture of Matías Ferrari took place at a tumultuous moment, as that same day the replacement of Waldo Wolff by Horacio Giménez was announced at the Ministry of Security of the City of Buenos Aires by the decision of the head of Government, Jorge Macri.
