The Government of the City of Buenos Aires has taken measures to address the current crisis by reinforcing security, which has involved the deployment of nearly 500 officers to various municipalities. In this context, the replacement of Waldo Wolff by Horacio Giménez has been announced, a former commissioner of the Federal Police who served as chief of the Metropolitan Police in 2011, during Mauricio Macri's administration in the City.

Horacio Giménez is an experienced professional with an extensive background in the Federal Police, having held the position of superintendent of the General Directorate of Internal Security. During his tenure as chief of the Metropolitan Police in 2011, he led an eviction operation at the Borda Hospital that resulted in more than 50 injuries, including journalists, healthcare personnel, and protesters.

In addition to the change in the Security area, other modifications in the city cabinet have been announced. Hernán Lombardi will take over as Minister of Economic Development, with the aim of boosting growth and job creation, while José Grippo will assume the role of Secretary of Legal and Technical in place of Leticia Montiel. The head of Government of the City, Jorge Macri, expressed gratitude for the work of outgoing officials and highlighted that the changes aim to strengthen management in key areas of the administration.

The decision to replace Waldo Wolff comes in response to repeated incidents of escape attempts by detainees in various police stations in the City in recent weeks. "Today, more than ever, we advance with the conviction that to govern is to act," concluded the leader in his message.
