Demands for Resignation in Buenos Aires

The President of Argentina, Javier Milei, requested the resignation of Governor Kicillof in the context of the rising violence in the country. Bullrich defended this demand, stating that there was no talk of federal intervention, but rather of governmental responsibility.

Demands for Resignation in Buenos Aires

The Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, confirmed in a radio interview that President Javier Milei requested the resignation of the Buenos Aires governor, Axel Kicillof. Bullrich clarified that the president referred to the resignation and not to a federal intervention in the province.

In her statements, Bullrich expressed that the president would have communicated to Kicillof that if he is not able to fulfill his responsibilities, he should resign. The official criticized the governor for requesting help in a dismissive manner and with a defiant attitude.

Comparing the situation in Buenos Aires with the successful intervention in Rosario, Bullrich emphasized the importance of the national government's entry into that district. On the other hand, opposition leader Javier Milei publicly urged Kicillof to resign to allow for a "national intervention" following the tragic murder of the girl Kim Gómez in La Plata.

Kicillof is expected to respond to these demands during a press conference this afternoon. It is important to highlight that, according to Bullrich, President Milei's request focused on the resignation of the governor and not on a federal intervention in the province of Buenos Aires.
