The national senator and president of the UCR in Buenos Aires, Maximiliano Abad, harshly criticized the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, stating that all his management is subordinated to his electoral ambitions. Abad mentioned that the crisis of IOMA has left thousands of affiliates in a situation of vulnerability and uncertainty, and questioned the handling of security in the Province, labeling Kicillof as "a evader of responsibilities."
In a statement recently published, Abad expressed his discontent with the launch of the Movement Right to the Future (MDF) by Kicillof, a political space from which he plans to build an alternative in Peronism to confront the government of President Javier Milei. According to the senator, the governor's management lacks strategic planning and focuses more on justifying his actions than on providing concrete solutions to the problems of the Province.
Abad highlighted that, from his perspective, Kicillof has neglected the mayors and shown a lack of commitment to addressing the challenges facing the Province. He also emphasized the concerns of families regarding the rise in violence, criticizing the lack of action on the part of the provincial government. In Abad's opinion, the governor seems to have his sights set on the 2027 elections instead of concentrating on the current needs of the population.
In this regard, the head of the UCR in the Province called on Kicillof to dedicate the same energy and effort he allocates to his political aspirations to addressing and resolving the urgent problems affecting the residents of Buenos Aires. Abad emphasized that these criticisms are not new but reflect a persistent concern for the governor's management, which, in his opinion, has sidelined the real needs of the Province in favor of his own political interests.
