President Javier Milei recently gave an interview to the Todo Noticias (TN) channel, which generated tensions and changes in the presidential management. During the recording of the interview, the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, expressed dissatisfaction with the intervention of presidential advisor Santiago Caputo, who interrupted the filming to clarify the president's participation in promoting the 'Viva la Libertad Project.'
In a situation that culminated in the resignation of the head of the channel's area, Juan Fernando Vaitili, it was revealed that the advisor was aware of the potential publication of his actions on television and the discomfort expressed by the Milei brothers. From Caputo's environment, it was acknowledged that his intervention was untimely, and it was stated that his resignation was always available, despite firmly believing that everything the president does is right, even if it goes against his recommendations.
Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni, under the supervision of the younger Milei, attributed responsibility for the incident to Caputo, describing his intervention as a mistake motivated by his pursuit of excellence. Furthermore, the leak of raw interview material through a YouTube channel was criticized, and it was mentioned that although there were differences in conducting the space and how the lists were handled, there would be no changes in the team of collaborators.
Amid the controversy, it was clarified that President Milei is an economist and not a lawyer, which led the advisor to intervene in legal matters that might have escaped the president during the interview. Despite the tensions and differences, the libertarian inner circle attempted to soften the conflict, noting that it was a comment directed at someone with little experience in formal dealings with the media.
