Security Crisis in Buenos Aires: Interpellation of the Minister

A new and embarrassing escape shakes the City of Buenos Aires, after six detainees managed to escape from the 3rd Police Station, located in the Balvanera neighborhood. Questions to the city government have not been long in coming, while citizens demand immediate answers to what many are calling a "unprecedented security crisis."

The image of the City Police, already battered by previous escapes, faces a new challenge that jeopardizes the trust of residents in the institutions responsible for ensuring order and justice. The episode adds to a growing sense of insecurity and highlights serious flaws in the detainee custody system.

The meeting is scheduled for 2:00 PM at the Security Commission of the city parliament, where Wolff is expected to provide explanations regarding the concerning succession of incidents in the capital's police stations. According to authorities, teams from the Monitoring Center, the Investigations area, and the City Police are working intensively to analyze security cameras to locate the fugitives.

Amid the shock, the names of five of the six escapees have emerged: Daniel Olivera, Matías Álvarez, Martín Alfredo Maldonado Villalobo, Díaz Contreras, and Solís Rojas. The incident, confirmed by official sources to TNA, adds to a series of similar episodes that have generated strong questioning of security in police facilities.

The escape took place at the police station located on Lavalle Street at number 2600. It is worth noting that the last three are of Chilean nationality, which has raised alarms about possible international criminal networks operating in the region. This escape, the third in just ten days, has generated a strong media and political impact.

In parallel, the City Security Minister, Waldo Wolff, will be questioned this Tuesday by the opposition bloc Unión por la Patria.
