The political space led by Javier Milei is outlining its strategy for the upcoming legislative elections in Argentina. In this context, the possibility of reaching agreements with other forces, including the PRO, is being debated, although the president's circle emphasizes that the lists will be headed by libertarian leaders, without exceptions.
Regarding the PRO, tensions have escalated in recent weeks due to the intention to advance with the City of Buenos Aires, which is currently under the government of Jorge Macri. Despite efforts to bring positions closer, Karina Milei, secretary general of the Presidency and president of La Libertad Avanza, does not retract the decision to confront the porteño mayor to take the foundational stronghold from the PRO.
In this sense, the political formation indicated that it will not seek to reach agreements solely to obtain numbers that obstruct, but will prioritize confrontation based on convictions. The expulsion of porteño legislator Ramiro Marra poses a new challenge that the group led by Milei will have to face, especially regarding the possible competition from Marra with his own list that would divide the libertarian vote.
Amid this scenario, there is consideration to add spaces to strengthen the position ahead of the elections, but always maintaining the premise of prioritizing its own leaders. Regarding vote projections, the question arises about how much figures such as Santilli, Iguacel, Grindetti, or Montenegro can add, and it is clarified that agreements will be negotiated personally, district by district.
The government led by Javier Milei seeks to make it clear that there will be no place for claims or egos within La Libertad Avanza, and that the original libertarians will be the priority in forming alliances, dismissing traditional agreements and carefully weighing the real chances of adding votes with potential allies.
