Throughout the country, there is a possibility to access the VTV for free in certain cases. For example, retirees receiving up to two minimum retirement payments, vehicle owners with disabilities, and those who are not owners but are parents, guardians, descendants, spouses, or cohabitants of persons with disabilities.

Regarding the frequency of the VTV for vehicles registered in CABA, it must be done for the first time when reaching 4 years of age or 60,000 kilometers. If the car has not reached 7 years of age and 80,000 km, the inspection will be valid for 24 months.

To know when to do the VTV in the City of Buenos Aires, it should be considered that the last number of the license plate indicates the expiration month. For example, license plates ending in 0 expire on October 31, while those ending in 9 do so on September 30. The months of January and December are designated for those whose sticker is expired.
