Investigation into the death of Liam Payne in Buenos Aires

The Argentine prosecutor's office met with Geoff Payne, father of Liam Payne, former One Direction member who recently passed away in Buenos Aires. Authorities assured Geoff that the toxicology studies have not yet been released and are necessary to decide on the delivery of his son's body.

Investigators are conducting examinations of cell phones, computers, security camera footage, and have taken numerous statements to reconstruct the last moments of the victim and the scene of the incident. Although there is no set date for the results of the toxicology studies, it is expected that they may be concluded this week.

Geoff expressed his desire for the facts to be clarified and showed willingness to cooperate with the investigation. U.S. media had reported that Liam had drugs such as pink cocaine, crack, and methamphetamine in his system when he fell from the balcony of the Casa Sur hotel.

The former One Direction member died at 31 years old from multiple traumas and internal and external bleeding. The prosecutor's office reported that Liam was alone at the time of the fall and may have been experiencing a breakthrough due to substance abuse.

The prosecutor in charge of the case, Andrés Madrea, met with Geoff Payne to personally inform him about the progress of the investigation and to ensure the transparency of the investigative process.
