Buenos Aires, February 13 (NA) – The National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) has banned the use, commercialization, and distribution throughout the national territory of all batches of the laundry product 'Tide Original' that was being sold without labeling in the national language or sanitary registration data, as published today in the Official Gazette.
According to information from Noticias Argentinas agency, ANMAT Resolution 492/2026 originated from a complaint received by the Department of Disinfectants, Cosmetics, and Personal Hygiene Products. It detected the sale of a foreign product with labeling exclusively in English at a Carrefour branch in the town of Pilar, Buenos Aires province.
The importing firm Glam Distribuciones S.R.L., registered with ANMAT under RNE 020048208 and located at Colectora Oeste (Ruta 9) km 37.800 in Garín, Escobar district, recognized the product as its own after the batch of origin was identified, but declared that it did not have a counter-sample of the same batch.
'The withdrawal of the market of the involved batch was ordered, which is under the follow-up of the technical area,' the report states. 'The body initiated a health summary against the company and its technical director, Marcela Ester Falgueras, for the alleged breach of regulations that require labeling in the national language for imported household disinfectants and to store counter-samples of the batches marketed.'
