Argentina's Former First Lady Introduces Exosomes to Skin Care

Former First Lady of Argentina, Juliana Awada, has once again set a trend in the beauty industry by incorporating exosomes into her facial routine. This treatment represents a biotechnological breakthrough in skin regeneration.

According to the Argentine News Agency, exosomes are nanovesicles released by the body's own cells that act as messengers. They transport proteins, lipids, and genetic material that instruct the skin on how to repair and rejuvenate itself.

The treatment is considered low-risk and well-tolerated by patients. Awada showed on social media that she had undergone her second session.

The exosome treatment, which temporarily moves away from more traditional procedures like lasers or radiofrequency, offers multiple benefits:

  • Stimulation: They stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin.
  • Recovery: They accelerate recovery after more invasive procedures, such as laser treatments or the use of microneedling.
  • Appearance: They improve firmness, hydration, and reduce fine lines and scars.

The application is usually done through micro-injections or with a Dermapen device, which creates very fine channels in the skin to allow the exosomes to penetrate deeply.
