Buenos Aires, November 28 (NA) – The former governor of Córdoba and elected national deputy, Juan Schiaretti, was successfully operated on this Friday in Buenos Aires City as part of a scheduled procedure due to a heart condition.

The former presidential candidate was operated on at the Favaloro Foundation, where the recovery process began after the aortic valve was replaced via catheterization, a less invasive technique than traditional open-heart surgery.

"The procedure was successful, and he is recovering in the coronary care unit of said health center," stated a press release from the team of the former Córdoba governor, which was accessed by the Argentine News Agency (Agencia Noticias Argentinas).

Schiaretti headed the "Provincias Unidas" list in Córdoba province, but the result was not as expected: he came in second with just over 28%, 15 points behind "La Libertad Avanza," the winner of the day.

With this outcome, "cordobismo" secured three seats for the 2025-2029 period, which will be added to three others with mandates until 2027.

Schiaretti will join the inter-bloc that the governors of Santa Fe, Maximiliano Pullaro; Córdoba, Martín Llaryora; Chubut, Ignacio Torres; and Jujuy, Carlos Sadir are negotiating, along with other political forces.
