Combi accident leaves 19 injured in Buenos Aires

Nineteen people were injured in a combi accident on the 25 de Mayo highway. The injured were taken to several hospitals, but none are in life-threatening condition.

Nineteen people were injured early this morning after the van they were traveling in crashed into a guardrail on the 25 de Mayo highway, near Boedo Avenue, heading towards Capital Federal. Police sources confirmed that the injured suffered various degrees of multiple traumas, but fortunately, none are in critical condition. Of the total injured, eight are men and seven are women, all of whom are adults.

The van, which had departed from kilometer 29 of Route 3 in González Catán, headed to the center of Buenos Aires, was involved in the incident that required the intervention of a SAME aerial helicopter and ten ground ambulances. After being assisted at the scene, the 19 injured were transferred to various health centers: seven to Ramos Mejía Hospital, six to Durand Hospital, four to Argerich Hospital, one to Santojanni Hospital, and one to Penna Hospital.

In another traffic incident that occurred on Eduardo Madero Avenue at 1100, in the Retiro neighborhood, a Ford Escort car also collided with a guardrail. According to the City Police, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle descended on their own and was transported by SAME to Fernández Hospital with multiple traumas.
