
The City of Buenos Aires carried out an operation due to heavy rain and an orange alert for storms that were forecasted. Despite the harsh weather conditions, no flooding was reported. Several emergency situations were recorded between Sunday night and Monday morning, including fallen trees and branches, as well as downed cables in public areas.
According to the National Meteorological Service, nearly 100 mm of water had accumulated by 10:30 AM on Monday, and it was expected that the bad weather would continue until the afternoon. Crews from the Public Space Ministry worked tirelessly to clear and address the issues caused by the storms, together with the Emergency system, Civil Defense, and Firefighters.
In total, 63 calls related to the rain and 47 related to the wind were received. Reports of fallen trees, branches on the ground, and downed cables were the most common. Despite the situation, all emergencies were addressed without causing flooding. Residents reported various incidents to Line 103, which forwarded the requests to 911 for a prompt response.
