The Ministry of Health of the City of Buenos Aires announced that individuals aged between 35 and 39 can now access the dengue vaccine. This age group becomes the fifth to receive the vaccination against this disease transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, according to the health department's information.
Those who have received the first dose at least 90 days ago have the option to request an appointment to complete the vaccination schedule with the second dose. Vaccination remains open for individuals aged between 15 and 34 who have not yet started the vaccination schedule.
Appointments can be managed through the official website of the Ministry of Health of the City of Buenos Aires. Vaccines will be administered in hospitals, CeSACs, and extrahospital posts distributed across various neighborhoods.
The vaccination strategy, led by Minister Fernán Quirós, is being implemented following the recommendations of the National Immunization Commission (CoNaIn) and the Ministry of Health of the Nation, prioritizing groups at higher risk.
It is important to note that individuals who come for vaccination should bring their ID and vaccination card. To receive the second dose, it will also be necessary to present the proof of the first application.
