This Monday, Vice President Victoria Villarruel and Chief of Cabinet Guillermo Francos participated in the celebration of the Day of Evangelical Churches at the Liberty Palace, organized by the Christian Alliance of Evangelical Churches of the Argentine Republic (ACIERA). The event was also attended by Foreign Minister Diana Mondino and President Javier Milei's girlfriend, Amalia 'Yuyito' González.
The meeting commemorated the Day of Evangelical and Protestant Churches, recognized as National Law 27.741 last April. Notable attendees included the Secretary of Worship and Civilization, Nahuel Sotelo; the Deputy Head of Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Clara Muzzio; the Minister of Urban Development and Habitat of CABA, Gabriel Mraida; and several national lawmakers.
Also present were mayors such as Nicolás Mantegazza from San Vicente, and Mariano Cascallares from Alte. Brown. Various religious denominations and institutions such as AMIA, DAIA, the Argentine Episcopal Conference (CEA), the Islamic Center, ACDE, the Latin American Jewish Congress, among others, joined the celebration.
During his speech, the president of ACIERA, Pastor Christian Hooft, emphasized the importance of maintaining faith in difficult times, stressing the need for effort and commitment to overcome current crises. 'Today, we do not celebrate a religious holiday. Emerging from this state requires much effort, and the commitment of everyone, and of course the help of Almighty God,' he underscored.
