Buenos Aires, April 2 (NA) – Three men and one woman were shot and injured in a confusing incident inside a ride-share car that led to a shooting in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Almagro. All the injured had to be taken to various hospitals, and the driver is in serious condition. The incident happened this Thursday morning at the intersection of Belgrano Avenue and Maza Street, when passengers shared a ride in a ride-share car, confirmed to the Argentine News Agency. After 08:00, a woman who is a first sergeant of the Federal Police got into the vehicle in the Liniers neighborhood, in which two men and a woman were already coming from the Buenos Aires town of Moreno. During the journey, sources in the case preliminarily indicated that the officer “began to feel unwell and asked the driver to stop” but the individual refused. At that moment, the woman believed she might be the victim of some kind of crime, so she fired shots, injuring all the passengers. Upon the arrival of officers, the men stated they did not know each other, so the reasons why the officer fired are being investigated. The injured are a 50-year-old man who was driving and was shot in the chest and back, another man, 33, who was in the front passenger seat and was wounded in the left side of the chest. Both were taken to the Penna Hospital. “The most serious would be the vehicle driver with a gunshot wound to the chest and back,” they emphasized. The policewoman was detained while the event is investigated by the West Unit Fiscal, led by Catalina Neme. There was an operation by SAME and the City Police. Both were transferred to the Ramos Mejía Hospital. Additionally, in the back seat, a 50-year-old man was wounded in the left leg, and a 30-year-old woman, who was in the middle, was shot in the left arm, right leg, and abdomen.
