On April 26, Argentine driver Franco Colapinto will take to the streets of Buenos Aires in a Formula 1 car as part of a joint project with the BWT Alpine Formula One Team and Mercado Libre. At the wheel of the 2012 Alpine A20 car, powered by a Renault V8 engine, Colapinto will become the first driver in 14 years to race an F1 car in the Argentine capital. "Driving a Formula 1 car at home will be one of the most special moments of my life. This is for all of you, to enjoy this special moment together," the driver stated. The 2 km circuit will run along Avenida del Libertador and Avenida Sarmiento, where two official show runs will take place, among other activities. The event will feature different sectors: an open and free sector, and exclusive sectors for sale, including the Fan Zone, grandstands, and hospitality. Tickets for Franco Colapinto's road show can be purchased during an exclusive presale with the Mercado Pago credit card in three interest-free installments, available from April 6 at 4:00 PM. General sales with all payment methods will begin on April 7 at 4:00 PM. Among the confirmed sponsors are Mercado Libre, YPF, Latin Securities, Claro, Motorola, PAX Assistance, Green Armor, Mercado Pago, and Heineken, which will carry out special activations throughout the day. The event will be broadcast by ESPN and Disney+ Plan Premium, the official media partners. The production is handled by MICA Comunicaciones 360, responsible for the general production and track design, in partnership with Dale Play. "Every message, every flag, and every breath was always there. This is my way of giving back, even just a little, all the support and affection I received since I was a child, which drives me every day to keep dreaming and achieving all my goals in my career," Colapinto added.
