Man in Buenos Aires Released After Air Rifle Incident

A man was detained in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta accused of firing shots with an air rifle and throwing objects at pedestrians. However, the suspect was released. Police sources informed the Noticias Argentinas agency that a neighbor reported the alleged aggressor after noticing that he was harassing passersby from the balcony of his apartment located on Anchorena Street at 1500. The operation was carried out by officers from the Buenos Aires City Police, who raided the residence and seized an air rifle along with boxes of ammunition, following an investigation into the incident that occurred on March 25 on the same block. Based on the complaint, investigative tasks were carried out, which included analyzing footage provided by neighbors and fieldwork to establish the suspect's identity and address. With the corresponding judicial order, personnel from the DOEM Group intervened, entered the apartment, managed to subdue the accused, and proceeded to seize the weapon and the elements used. The case was handled by the First Instance Court in Criminal, Contraventional and Misdemeanor Matters No. 27, which, after consulting with the police, decided not to take any action, so the suspect was released.
