Buenos Aires Construction Site Closed Over Safety Violations

A construction site in the Colegiales neighborhood of Buenos Aires has been shut down due to irregularities and safety violations. The property, located at 3000 Teodoro García Street, was sealed off, and violation notices were issued. The Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed that, at the order of Prosecutor Mauro Tereszko, a comprehensive inspection was carried out. During the procedure, it was found that the site was in violation for lacking adequate safety protections, storing materials on the public right-of-way, and failing to ensure pedestrian access. Furthermore, inspectors identified deficiencies in the front and rear protective screens and found that the amount of the civil insurance policy was below the required standard. The General Directorate of Labor Protection requested mandatory labor documentation, surveyed the workers, and issued notices to each employer to provide the requested paperwork. It was also verified that the current list of insured personnel did not include the workers on site. For these reasons, authorities ordered the immediate and preventive closure of the construction site.
