Fire in Buenos Aires: Dozens Evacuated

A major fire broke out at a bazaar in Buenos Aires, prompting a large-scale emergency response. According to Noticias Argentinas, journalist Julio Bazan from TN had a tense confrontation with police while covering the incident live. Police prevented him from entering the cordoned-off area for safety reasons. "I'm working, don't bother me," Bazan told the officers, pointing out that other people were moving around the location. The fire occurred in a 10 by 50-meter building at General José G. Artigas 4720, where a widespread blaze was reported. Firefighters used two 38mm lines from the main entrance to combat the flames. Six employees managed to evacuate in time and were safe. During the emergency, a canopy at the entrance collapsed, obstructing the view of the rear of the building. Simultaneously, an operation was launched on General Mosconi Avenue to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings. As a result, ten people—seven women and three men—inhaled carbon monoxide and received oxygen assistance. Four firefighters involved in the operation were also among those treated.
