Argentine Railways has officially opened ticket sales for the service connecting Constitución with Mar del Plata for the month of March. The new schedule comes with significant changes in frequency, adjustments to travel times, and the long-awaited implementation of a "pet-friendly" policy. According to the Argentine News Agency, the timetable has been modified to adapt to the low season, offering two trains per direction daily: one that makes stops at all intermediate stations and another semi-express service.
The main news this month is that, starting March 2, traveling with pets will be permitted. Interested parties must comply with the conditions and requirements set by the railway company, which include the use of suitable containers and health documentation. The fare for transporting a pet was set at $77,500, a value significantly higher than a conventional passenger ticket.
Fares and discounts for March Prices for the full stretch between Constitución and "La Feliz" remain at: First class: $32,000 Pullman: $38,000
The official Trenes de Larga Distancia account reminded that tickets purchased through the official website (webventas.sofse.gob.ar) come with a 10% discount.
Adjustments in travel times Due to a lower number of crossings with other formations on the track, slight improvements in the duration of some services were recorded: Train 303: Reduced its time by 13 minutes (total 6h). Train 305 (Additional Fridays): Achieved a reduction of 10 minutes (total 5h 50m). Train 306 (Additional Sundays): Reduced its journey to CABA by 10 minutes (total 6h 13m).
