A risk of collapse was ruled out this afternoon in a building adjacent to the Cervantes Theater, where 148 people were evacuated. Police sources informed the Argentine News Agency that authorities conducted an emergency inspection due to suspected vibrations in the ventilation system on the tenth floor of the structure, located at Libertad 819. In this context, City Firefighters and SAME personnel evacuated 148 residents, while a complete traffic closure was implemented on Córdoba and Cerrito Avenues. The sources consulted noted that there were 65 women, 47 men, and 36 other unidentified individuals. Witnesses reported feeling tremors in the building, while initially a risk of collapse was suspected, although this hypothesis was ruled out. The head of the Emergency Medical Attention System (SAME), Alberto Crescenti, coordinated the procedure with the firefighters in the area.
