Drivers in Child Accident Disqualified

The Ministry of Transport of the Province of Buenos Aires announced the disqualification of the drivers of the Volkswagen Amarok pickup truck and the UTV vehicle involved in the accident that left Bastián Jerez seriously injured. According to official sources reported to the Argentine News Agency (NA), the measure was taken after Naomi Flores, 24, and Manuel Molinari tested positive for alcohol. In this regard, the woman driving the UTV in which Bastián, his father, and two other minors were riding, had a blood alcohol level of 0.41, while Molinari had 0.25, both cases above the permitted limit in the province, which has zero tolerance for driving under the influence. The tests were conducted on Monday, January 26, at the Chemical Laboratory of the Scientific Police of Dolores, where specialists analyzed blood samples collected after the accident. Meanwhile, lawyer Matías Morla, who represents Maximiliano Jerez, Bastián's father, revealed that the young man is deeply affected psychologically following his son's accident.
