In Buenos Aires, the acclaimed comedy "Tirria" returns to the stage for its second season starting January 9th at the Teatro Metropolitan. The show, which had a successful debut, is poised to captivate the audience again with its sharp humor, theatricality, and distinct Argentine aesthetic.
Directed by Carlos Branca, the play features a leading cast including Diego Capusotto, Andrea Politti, and Rafael Spregelburd. "Tirria" delves into the story of the Sobrado Alvear family, who face numerous difficulties. To maintain appearances, they pretend to travel to Europe every summer, while in reality, they are financially ruined. For three months, they hide in the trunks of their mansion, surviving on rice pudding while mentally rebuilding an old continent made of memories.
The only one who knows the truth is Hilario, the servant "almost family," whose loyalty and obsession with the family's honor can lead him to any extreme.
