She expressed her annoyance with the media commentary that arises whenever her name resurfaces. Without directly mentioning anyone, Salazar wrote: "I find it hard to understand that some portals are presenting as their own words I never said or edited photos with bad intentions, made by paid bots to go viral." There, Salazar made it clear that she felt harmed by information circulating without her consent and that, according to her, is being manipulated with intent. She then dropped a phrase that set off all alarms: "Do you have any doubts left about where all this hate comes from?"
