Relatives of Fernando Baez Sosa, the 18-year-old young man who was beaten to death after leaving a nightclub in Villa Gesell, will hold a mass to honor his memory on the sixth anniversary of his murder. According to the Argentine News Agency and as reported by the young man's relatives, the religious ceremony will take place at 7:30 PM in the Santísimo Redentor parish, located at Larrea 1252, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Recoleta. Baez Sosa was beaten to death after leaving a nightclub by a group of young people, a case that shocked the country and led to a historic oral trial. In February 2023, the Buenos Aires justice system sentenced five of the accused to life imprisonment and three others to 15 years in prison, sentences that were later reviewed by higher courts. Since then, Fernando's family and friends have promoted various activities to keep his memory alive and renew the call for justice, while the case has become a lamentable symbol of violence and pack attacks.
