Actress Inés Estévez surprised by revealing an unknown part of her past when she had just arrived in Buenos Aires from Dolores to study and did not have enough money to rent a place to live. According to the Argentine News Agency, the actress spoke about the issue in the “Ángel Responde” (Bondi) cycle, where she was asked about her first years in the city. There she said she slept in the Retiro station because her salary was enough for the basics but not for housing. Estévez explained that although she slept on the street, her situation was not one of homelessness: “That has been made into a tango. I had just arrived.” On the other hand, Estévez recalled how she chose a place to feel safer: “I said: ‘In what place am I not in danger and do I not attract attention with a bag like that?’”. The answer was the Retiro station, due to the conditions of the place: “Retiro, bus station, open bars, I could eat, super complete bathrooms”. Suddenly, she would take some trips on the subway.
