Buenos Aires, December 18 (NA) – Influencer Momi Giardina was one of the award winners of the MasterChef Celebrity night, and almost unbelievably, she dedicated her medal to her elementary school teacher.
According to the Argentine News Agency, the culinary reality show continues to solidify itself as the most-watched program on Telefe, maintaining its leadership in prime time.
Wednesday night's challenge was for the contestants to replicate a classic from all restaurants: a Caesar salad with chicken.
Everything was a surprise in the studio when the panel of chefs – Germán Martitegui, Damián Betular, and Donato de Santis – named the duo of Momi Giardina and Turco Husain as the best of the competition.
“This is a Caesar salad,” Martitegui defined after trying the dish.
Host Wanda Nara celebrated the recognition of the contestant who usually tends to be among the “worst performances”: “How life has rewarded you. You thought nobody wanted you on their team and you ended up with a medal. I came to MasterChef with a medal,” she continued in her personal interview.
“Look who you used to make fun of,” she concluded enthusiastically, proud of her achievement.
“I want to say something: I could never be a flag bearer or an escort. I dedicate it to María Elena, a teacher who never chose me.”
“She used to tell me that I was practically good for nothing. Look!”
