Buenos Aires, December 16 (NA) -- Cristian Velazco, the 35-year-old man who allegedly fled with the 17-year-old teenager Abril Romero Miranda (then 16), has been identified with an international blue alert. According to information from the Argentine News Agency, on December 15, the young woman was found after almost three months of searching. According to her mother, Jorgelina Miranda, Velazco would have 'left her alone near a beach' and is now a person of interest in the case. The adult man is now identified with an international notification used to locate, identify, or gather information about a person of interest in a criminal investigation. The accused has complaints of gender-based violence against him, and he himself was mentioned in Abril's alleged farewell letter. Previously, the family issued a statement where they claimed: 'Abril was taken from her home by a violent adult, on September 18, she was deceived and manipulated by 35-year-old Cristian Velazco.' The text refers to the man from Salta with whom the young woman lived for two months, which concluded with a complaint of gender-based violence, and on September 18, when she was last seen, the minor left a letter for her mother saying she had left with 'the love of her life'. Therefore, the article emphasized that Velazco has 'a history of kidnapping and gender-based violence'.
