Zootopia 2 has reached a historic box office milestone, surpassing $1 billion globally just weeks after its release, solidifying itself as one of the biggest cinematic successes of 2025. The Walt Disney Animation Studios sequel thus joined the exclusive 'billion-dollar club', confirming the franchise's immense drawing power since its launch. In its first days in theaters, the film had already accumulated $600 million, with outstanding performance in key markets like China and Japan. Both audiences and critics praised the new story and the addition of characters like Gary De’Snake, a snake who joins the animal metropolis universe. Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, Zootopia 2 also became the fastest Hollywood animated film to reach $1 billion, achieving the figure in just 17 days, and the second studio production to do so this year, after Lilo & Stitch. One of the film's main attractions is once again Shakira, who reprises her iconic role as Gazelle, the pop superstar of Zootopia. In the midst of her world tour 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran', where she performed at the Vélez stadium in a production by Fénix Entertainment, the Colombian artist even attended a special screening of the film in Buenos Aires with her team and children. In this new installment, Shakira also presents an original song titled 'Zoo', composed with Ed Sheeran and Blake Slatkin, and produced by Slatkin himself, Alex (A.C.) Castillo, and Sheeran.
