A serious accident involving two vehicles occurred in the Flores neighborhood of Buenos Aires, injuring six people, including a 5-year-old child. The incident took place on Monday at the intersection of Mariano Acosta and Zuviría streets. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), the cause of the accident was that one of the drivers ran a red light. As a result of the collision, a dark gray Toyota Etios car overturned and onto the sidewalk, hitting a family of four. The four pedestrians, who were just starting their vacation, were injured. The driver of the Toyota, a 24-year-old young man, was detained. The driver of the Hyundai and his passenger, both adults, were taken to Grierson Hospital. The driver of the vehicle that caused the accident was taken to Santojanni Hospital with a diagnosis of polytrauma.
