Buenos Aires, November 28 (NA) – The Argentine audiovisual industry is making an unprecedented bet with the trailer premiere of "The Hotel of Secrets at Christmas," a fiction series conceived from the start to be consumed in a vertical format via mobile phone. The project, which recently wrapped filming its 40 episodes of a minute and a half each, was written by Sol Levinton and directed by Jorge Bechara, and stars Marcos Ginocchio, Tato Algorta, Luz Tito, and Martina Pereyra, all former participants of "Big Brother." According to the Argentine News Agency, the first five episodes will be released on December 9. The cast combines rising media personalities with reality show champions: Ginocchio, the winner of the 2022 edition; Algorta, crowned in 2025; and the models Tito and Pereyra. For the author, this type of format opens a different door within the audiovisual market because it is what is being used around the world. Vertical series—which originated in China, when users began to record homemade stories for TikTok—have become a global phenomenon due to their rapid production and immense viral potential. The Franco-Taiwanese producer Vincent Wang summarized it this way: "In 30 days we can assemble a series. Who represents the future?" As for the plot of "The Hotel of Secrets at Christmas," it revolves around emotional tensions and secrets that come to light during a Christmas weekend. As the episodes progress, the protagonists are forced to face truths that shake the bonds between them, setting the emotional tone of the production. Today, they are moving an industry that exceeds 8 billion dollars. Hollywood takes two years.
