According to Argentine News Agency (Agencia Noticias Argentinas), it all began when Angie Balbiani, on the show 'Puro Show,' made an enigmatic statement that eventually became news. Based on this initial information, Pampito added details about previous negotiations that would have strained the relationship between Smith and the broadcaster. He stated that the journalist had been approached to join both 'Intrusos' and 'Infama,' but her financial and labor demands were impossible for the other party: she requested a high fee, an amount 'out of budget,' and health insurance for herself and her children—benefits she had through her employment contract with Telefe. On 'Puro Show,' Nancy Duré added that Pilar was experiencing burnout at the channel, felt undervalued, wanted an opportunity as a host but couldn't get one.
