Buenos Aires, November 28 (NA) – La Mona Jiménez received an award for his career in the music world. He was honored with the title 'Legend of Cuarteto' by Sadaic for 58 years of career, over 100 released albums, and more than 1,000 registered works. According to the Argentine News Agency, the tribute took place this Thursday in recognition of his extensive artistic career by the board of directors of the Argentine Society of Authors and Composers of Music (Sadaic). The cuarteto artist has been creating songs for over 50 years, proudly carrying the flag of cuarteto and being an essential part of the transformation of his Cordoban land's music into a culturally recognized movement worldwide. As part of the tribute, Sadaic presented him with framed documentation, which is now part of his personal history and the history of cuarteto: a certified copy of his Sadaic membership form and his first work, the song 'Baila Chiquita,' registered in 1972.
