Buenos Aires, Nov 26 (NA) – Actress La China Suárez was involved in a tense exchange with panelist Pochi, known for her Instagram account Gossipeame, during an interview on the morning show Puro Show (El Trece) this Wednesday.
The actress, who appeared live from Turkey, did not miss the opportunity to remind the journalist of her unfortunate comments about her personal life after the Wandagate scandal broke in 2021, as reported by Agencia Noticias Argentinas.
As China reflected on the labels the media gives her, she clarified that she does not hate the press because she "understands" it: "I understand the work of journalists. I have been working since I was ten years old, and I know everything you tell me. I'm referring to when they meddle in my personal life," she concluded.
The actress also stated that she can be critical but never holds a grudge: "I can be critical of you, but I never go out of my way to attack you."
"There are many people who talk about my personal life, who judge, who point fingers, and I know how they operate. I understand the 'war of scoops' and when they report information, but many things cross a line," she added.
In addition, she gave the example of when some media outlets published the details of her home, and a week later she suffered an attempted 'commando-style robbery' at the country club where she lives.
"You, Pochi, once posted a story that said 'China needs to be beaten with a stick,' and you quickly deleted it," the actress fired back.
The panelist quickly tried to justify herself and deny the facts: "Me? No."
Pochi, whose real name is Marcia, defended her words: "I believe that when you expose your life, you open the door for others to have an opinion."
The actress showed herself to be unimpressed by the panelist's attempts at justification, nodding at her words to dismiss the situation.
"I can be critical of you, but I never go out of my way to attack you."
