Buenos Aires, November 25 (NA) – Claudio Aranda, 29, was under the influence of drugs when he got behind the wheel of a bus that was supposed to take high school students on a graduation trip to the Atlantic coast – to the town of Cariló. The teenagers' parents discovered the infraction and then attempted to assault him.

According to a police report provided to the Argentine News Agency, law enforcement received a request from the Almafuerte school, located between Hernández and Fleming streets. This was the second school from which the students departed.

Recently, the mother of one of the students stated: "I get the feeling that they were dodging checkpoints, because on the Panamerican Highway they took everything on the shoulder."

Therefore, personnel from the Third Police Station of Vicente López, and according to the report, confirmed that "the parents noticed inappropriate behavior by the driver and requested that he take an alcohol test, a situation to which the driver did not agree."

At the same time, the worker was subjected to a test for drug use, such as cocaine and marijuana, the test "came back positive." In this situation, the parents sought retaliation, and the police intervened to preserve Aranda's physical integrity.

Although the company found and sent a new driver, the replacement did not have the required hours of sleep, so they had to send another driver. As a result, the trip resumed with a significant delay.
