An Aerolíneas Argentinas airplane heading to Bogotá had to return to Aeroparque after the pilots detected a malfunction. Flight ARG 1360 had taken off from Aeroparque, but when it was at the height of the province of Corrientes, the pilots decided to return.
The return took longer than usual, as the pilots circled over the city of Gualeguaychú to burn off fuel. Fortunately, the airplane landed safely at the Buenos Aires airport.
Hours earlier, a similar incident occurred with an American Airlines aircraft, which had to return to Ezeiza due to the presence of smoke in the cabin while flying to Miami. Passengers from both flights were transferred to other aircraft to resume their journeys.
