Claudio Kleiman, a prominent figure in music journalism, will be honored as a Distinguished Personality of Culture by the Buenos Aires Legislature for his contributions to music and counterculture.

Claudio Kleiman, a renowned Argentine music journalist and musician, has collaborated with numerous publications dedicated to popular music, rock, and culture throughout his career. Among them are Rock & Pop, Pan caliente, Cerdos & Peces, El Porteño, Blues Special, Music expert, Zona de obras (from Spain), and the newspapers Clarín, Perfil, La Nación, Página/12, and El País (from Spain).

Since the founding of Rolling Stone magazine, Kleiman has been a special editor and has contributed his expertise and passion for music. He has also participated and collaborated in various radio programs such as FM Radio Rivadavia, La Tribu, Rock & Pop, Radio Euskadi (Spain), Nacional Rock, and Radio UBA.

The journalist is also co-author of the encyclopedia "Rock nacional 30 años," created in 1996 to accompany an exhibition of the same name. In 2022, Kleiman published the book "The story of a secret reunion: Manal," which recounts the 2014 reunion of the legendary pioneering trio of national rock.

In addition to his journalistic work, Claudio Kleiman has a remarkable career as a musician. In the seventies, he participated as a guest of Patricio Rey and his Redonditos de Ricota and was part of La Banda Ricotera, one of the group's first formations. His song "Boggart Blues," co-written with Skay Beilinson, was included in the latter's second solo album, "Talismán."

In 2018, Kleiman released his first solo album titled "Era Hora," featuring renowned Argentine artists such as León Gieco, Gustavo Santaolalla, Ricardo Mollo, Claudio Gabis, Diego Arnedo, Ciro Fogliatta, Claudia Puyó, and Rodolfo García, among others.

For his invaluable contribution to music journalism and his key role in the counterculture of the seventies, Claudio Kleiman will be declared Distinguished Personality of Culture by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires. The recognition ceremony will take place next Tuesday, March 25, at 6:00 PM in the Golden Hall of the Legislative Palace.

With a career marked by his passion for music and journalism, Claudio Kleiman has left an indelible mark on the Argentine music scene, and his legacy continues to inspire new generations of artists and journalists.
