Orange Alert Issued in Buenos Aires Due to Severe Weather

The National Meteorological Service issued an orange alert for tonight and the early hours of Saturday, as reported by the head of the City Government, Jorge Macri. In a message posted on his official social media, Macri indicated that the City Emergency Team has been called to activate the emergency protocol and be prepared to respond to any eventuality. The Unique Coordination and Control Center is monitoring the progress of the storm.

In light of these precautions, several recommendations have been made to the public. Among them are the suggestions to avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary, to remove pots and objects that could fall from balconies, to secure awnings and blinds that could be damaged by the wind, and when traveling, to do so with extreme caution while seeking safe shelter as quickly as possible.

Additionally, there is a warning about the possibility of heavy rainfall in short periods, gusts of wind that could exceed 90 km/h, occasional hail, and strong electrical activity. It is important for the public to stay informed and take the necessary precautions in the face of these adverse weather conditions.
