Sting Arrives in Buenos Aires for a Special Concert

Over the years, Sting has maintained his preference for Argentina, where he performed at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires on Sunday, February 23 as part of his "Sting 3.0" tour, accompanied by his bandmates: guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas.

In the backstage, Sting received a special visit from Charly García, who came to greet him and they took a photo together. The image was shared by Charly on his Instagram account, generating enthusiastic comments from fans, who highlighted the high musical quality present in the meeting that took place in the backstage of the show at the Movistar Arena.

It is worth mentioning that Sting and Charly García have shared the stage in the past, specifically in 1987 during an Amnesty International concert held at the River Plate Stadium. On that occasion, Sting performed the song "They Dance Alone" in Spanish along with the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo. Over the years, the friendship and mutual admiration between both artists have grown, keeping in touch despite the years.

The bond between Sting and Argentina has strengthened over time, with this country being one of the recurring destinations on the British artist's agenda. From The Police's first visit to Argentina in 1980, to their performances in 1987, 2007, 2015, 2017, and 2021, Sting has demonstrated his special connection with the Argentine audience over the decades.
