Launch of the magazine Porvenir in Buenos Aires

The magazine Porvenir, a new editorial venture, promotes debate, reflection, and reading in an exclusive paper format. Behind this project is an editorial committee made up of Tomás Aguerre, Giuliana Fernández, Juan Martín Gené, Josefina Rousseaux, Marcos Schiavi, Pablo Taricco, and Santiago Álvarez. According to its creators, the choice of paper responds to the intention of creating a reflective space in contrast to the predominant digital world today. Inspired by the thinking of John William Cooke, they seek to rethink the present and imagine a common future from a national and popular perspective.

The magazine Porvenir gathers prominent voices such as Martín Schorr, Mercedes D’Alessandro, Julián Zicari, Natalí Incaminato, Romina Zanelatto, Gustavo Grobocopatel, Sol Magno, and Ángel Leto, among others. The editorial committee emphasizes the importance of paper for its ability to generate a physical and mental space for debate and reflection, with a clear beginning and end that invite deep and thoughtful reading.

The official launch of the magazine Porvenir took place at the Caledonia Club in the Argentine capital, a cultural event that brought together intellectuals, artists, readers, and activists interested in reflecting on the current Argentine situation. This magazine does not have a presence on social media; it focuses on the publication of extensive texts and the recovery of historical material. Porvenir combines a Peronist perspective with a variety of voices, seeking to promote community debate and encourage reading that is engaged with contemporary issues.

In a context where digital predominates and information circulates rapidly, the paper format of Porvenir invites deeper reflection and slower reading. With illustrations generated by artificial intelligence, this magazine positions itself as an object intended to transcend time and stimulate critical thinking in a world where the ephemeral often prevails.
