The Buenos Aires government has communicated the new tuition caps for private educational institutions in the province. These adjustments affect both establishments with a 40% state subsidy and those that receive 100% state assistance.
In the case of secondary education, it is established that schools with a 40% state subsidy have a tuition cap of $132,730 in November and $137,780 in December. Meanwhile, for those with 100% state assistance, the amounts are $24,390 and $25,880 respectively.
Technical, agricultural, and specialized art secondary schools can charge up to $28,730 in November and $29,830 in December if they receive the highest percentage of state assistance, and up to $151,900 and $157,680 if they receive the lowest state help.
In the City of Buenos Aires, no modifications to the current values have been announced yet. These adjustments primarily respond to increases in salary costs and public services, which have impacted private establishments.
The executive secretary of Aiepba, Martín Zurita, mentioned that the increases in fees accompany the values of teacher salaries and the rising operating costs that schools face.
Regarding the new fee values, initial and primary education schools with a 40% state contribution will be able to charge up to $102,150 in November and $106,040 in December. Meanwhile, schools with state subsidies will end the year with a 7.4% increase in fees, applied in November and December.
In summary, over 1.3 million students enrolled in private institutions in the province of Buenos Aires will be affected by these new adjustments in educational fees.
