New Train Service Schedules Announced for Mar del Plata

The Buenos Aires train service to Mar del Plata will have new schedules and special discounts for seniors and disabled passengers. The promotion lasts until February 2025.


During Sundays and holidays, the long-distance train service between Mar del Plata and Constitución will have different schedules. The trains will depart from the terminal in Buenos Aires City at 7:00 and 12:18, and from Mar del Plata at 1:25 and 14:28. The route has 12 stations, including Coronel Brandsen, Chascomús, Lezama, Castelli, Sevigné, Dolores, General Guido, Maipú, Las Armas, General Pirán, Coronel Vidal, and Vivoratá.

Additionally, there will be a service on Fridays at 17:10 from Constitución and on Sundays at 11:47 from Mar del Plata. Discounts are available for retirees and people with disabilities. Retirees receive a 40% discount, while people with disabilities travel for free by presenting their corresponding documentation.

Children aged 3 to 12 pay 50% of the ticket price, and children under 3 who do not occupy a seat do not pay. Tickets can be purchased on the official Trenes Argentinos website, where the destination, date, and necessary information for the purchase can be entered.

During the last long weekend in November and until February 1, 2025, discounts of 10% to 40% are offered on tickets to destinations such as Mar del Plata, Córdoba, Tucumán, Rosario, Junín, Bragado, and Pinamar for online purchases. Ticket prices vary according to the destination and class chosen.

Regarding the long-distance service, it currently covers 11 destinations in Argentina. On the Constitución-Mar del Plata route, schedules vary from Monday to Friday and on weekends. Ticket purchases can be made online or in person at authorized stations, with various payment options and ticket collection methods.
