The Argentine government achieved a fiscal surplus of 484,789 million pesos in March, following a primary balance of 930,284 million pesos and the payment of public debt of 445,495 million pesos. The Ministry of Economy reported that this way, the national public sector accumulated a financial surplus of approximately 0.2% of GDP in the first three months of the year (a primary surplus of approximately 0.5% of GDP). This allowed for the 'reaffirmation of the fiscal anchor of the government program,' the official communiqué from the Argentine News Agency emphasized. The result is in line with the target agreed with the IMF, which projects a primary surplus of 1.4% of GDP for 2026. Economy specified that total revenues reached 10,911,083 million pesos (+25% year-on-year), mainly explained by the variation in revenues corresponding to Debits and Credits (+38.4% year-on-year). Regarding tax revenues, they showed a growth of 25.1% year-on-year. In turn, current transfers to the public sector in March reached 546,097 million pesos (+58.3% year-on-year). On the other hand, remunerations reached 1,441,915 million pesos (+25.7% year-on-year). Current transfers reached 3,445,060 million pesos (+13.6% year-on-year). Those corresponding to the private sector presented a growth of 210,632 million pesos (+7.8% year-on-year) due to an increase of 337,195 million pesos in national universities. Finally, economic subsidies were located at 258,209 million pesos with a 33% drop. In terms of social benefits, they amounted to 8,054,193 million pesos (+27.7% year-on-year). Contributions and Contributions to Social Security (+28.9% year-on-year), and net VAT collection after rebates (+27.0% year-on-year). Meanwhile, Export Duties fell 12.3%.
