The Customs Dispatch Center (CDA) in Argentina met with over twenty chambers and entities of the foreign trade sector. The meeting aimed to analyze the current situation and plan for future actions. Participants discussed the problems, context, and challenges faced by each sector player. As part of the dialogue, general conclusions were drawn to drive improvements. The meeting also highlighted the need to rethink an export strategy, a logistics infrastructure plan, and pending tax issues. Participants also addressed problems with port terminal schedules, the validity of cargo notices, and the issue of converting dollars from freight and service payments into pesos. Furthermore, the implications of the EU-Mercosur agreement, corporate interest, and its entry into force were discussed. Finally, it was stated that the meeting served as a catalyst to begin planning a Foreign Trade Day with the participation of all chambers and authorities from ARCA and Customs.
